Central Community Partnership

You said, to inform the partnership about planning applications that effect the town centre.
So, we have held 2 different planning applications/consultation events through the community partnership for the Melland Street and Albert Hill developments.

You said, find out how bad landlords can be challenged. So, we raised the  issue at the community partnership steering group and a report was sent to the LSP.

You said, make steps to encourage more residents to get involved. So we started Tea & Toast Sessions on a Monday at the Community Centre. 

You said, encourage young and old to become involved. So we started an Intergeneration Project in February 2006. 

You said, encourage more young people and parents to be involved. So, we set up a Family Sub Group in April 2006. 

You said, develop projects around young people. So we helped organise a Youth Consultation Day at Darlington Football Stadium on 20th April 2006 to find out what young people want.
