Activities and projects the Partnership is involved in:
- Play Scheme – We have provided a fun filled summer holiday and a few activities in half terms for kids to be able to have fun for a small charge on their doorstep. This year we are hoping to employ play workers with grant money we have applied for. We feel that this is an invaluable resource for the community and that this is proven by the amount of children that take part in the scheme. Over 90 children came along to the scheme last year and we hope to be able to have more sessions this year. View leaflet for further details - pdf document and timetable - pdf document
- Litter initiative – We are trying to combat the litter issue with residents in the ward, especially with young people who are often the main culprits of littering in the area. We have arranged litter picks regularly to try to encourage residents and young people to take pride in their area and to take care of where they put their rubbish. We hope to expand this project further with other strands.

- Tea and Toast sessions have just been started by the Partnership for residents on a Monday morning 9:15 at the Community Centre. It is an opportunity to ease yourself into the week. Pop along and have a chat with us. You could also access the advice co-op if you need their help. View leaflet for more details - pdf document
- The Community Garden project started from residents prioritising what they wanted to see in their area. Tidying up areas that were currently under used and caused resident’s problems. The area of land next to Mount Pleasant school between Newton Lane and Whitby Way was drawn to our attention and we hope that with help from residents and grant funding we will be able to make this area much more inviting and better for those that live and walk near it. If you are interested in getting involved – helping with funding or gardening etc then let us know. View leaflet for more details - pdf document.
Here are the minutes of the last meeting - pdf document – you will be very welcome to attend, all our meetings are open to the public, especially residents of the ward.
Our action plan - pdf document is the document which is our map for the year to come. We have identified what is important for the ward and have tried to think of positive ways of making a difference for the benefit of the ward. Have a look and see if there are actions you would like to get involved with or if you have other ideas you would like to share with us.
