Skills 4 Life offers an exciting opportunity for unemployed young people who want to make it on their own but are unsure of how to go about it. The course is 16 hours per week for 8 weeks and involves I.T, Job-search, Basic Skills, support and modules, which include Citizenship, Healthy Living, Independent Living, Preparation for Work and Move-on. Specialist advice is also available on issues such as, money management and housing.
Qualifications included on the course are First Aid Certificate, Health and Safety Certificate, Food Hygiene Certificate, CLAIT Certificate and the City and Guilds Profile of Achievement, which are all free to participants. After completing 8 weeks (95) hour’s participants are awarded £100.
