The Health and Social Inclusion group has two main aims to: improve the health and well-being of local people and to improve the life chances of those suffering, or at risk of suffering, discrimination and disadvantage. These aims will be achieved by reducing inequalities and helping people to enjoy the best possible health at every stage of their life. Did you know that:
· Your life expectancy may differ by up to nine years for men and four years for women, according to where in Darlington you live?
· Some wards in Darlington have ten times as many children living in poverty than others?
